WEE BLETHER

Scottish baby gifts under £25: count the postage too

A small budget can buy a proper present. The useful number is the amount at checkout.

If your total budget is £25, a £17 Wee Belter baby vest with £4.99 standard delivery comes to £21.99. A £22.95 T-shirt with the same delivery costs £27.94. Both garments cost less than £25 before postage, but only the vest fits a £25 delivered budget at those rates.

Prices and charges below were checked on 8 October 2026. Check the product and shipping policy before buying, particularly if your destination or basket changes.

The straightforward under-£25 option

Choose one £17 baby vest and standard delivery at £4.99. Total: £21.99. That leaves £3.01 within a £25 budget for any card or wrapping you choose separately. We do not include the pictured gift wrapping or promise that another shop's card will fit that remaining amount.

The Absolute Wee Belter vest is an affectionate choice for a new arrival. The vest range runs from 0-3 to 12-18 months, in black or white. The right size matters more than squeezing a second joke into the card. Ask the parents what fits now, then compare the garment measurements.

The postage calculation, plainly

  • Baby vest: £17 + £4.99 standard delivery = £21.99.
  • Baby vest: £17 + £6.99 express delivery = £23.99.
  • Baby or kids' T-shirt: £22.95 + £4.99 standard delivery = £27.94.
  • Baby or kids' T-shirt: £22.95 + £6.99 express delivery = £29.94.

Express delivery changes the shipping service after production. It does not skip made-to-order production time. If you need the present for a specific day, read the current production and transit estimates before choosing a service.

Choose the joke for the family receiving it

An affectionate phrase is a sensible starting point when you are buying for a colleague, a new acquaintance or parents whose tastes you do not know well. Save a sharper slogan for a family you know will welcome it. A present should make the recipient smile without needing an apologetic explanation from the buyer.

If the wording is unfamiliar, the Wee Belter Wordbook gives meanings and tone notes. Our wee belter explanation covers the compliment behind the name. You can be thoughtful about language and still keep the card short.

A cheaper size is not a better fit

A baby vest serves a different age range from a child's T-shirt. Do not buy a vest for an older child simply to stay below the budget. Our baby tees come in 12-18 and 18-24 months; kids' tees come in 3-4Y and 5-6Y. There is no current 2-3Y option. Age labels are a starting point, not a guarantee of fit.

For an older recipient, choose a different gift category if the delivered tee price does not suit your budget. The wider Scottish gifts guide includes books, food for grown-ups and shared experiences. A well-chosen smaller present is perfectly respectable. Nobody needs a competitive hamper.

Do not add items just to chase free delivery

Wee Belter currently offers free standard delivery on orders over £40. That can help a basket you already intended to buy, but it does not make a larger purchase fit a £25 total budget. Judge offers by the final basket total and the gifts you actually need.

For the full garment and occasion decision, use the Scottish baby gift guide. Start with the child, check the measurements, add delivery and allow enough time. That is a braw wee plan, without any heroic arithmetic.

Buying for a baby shower?

The baby shower gift guide helps you choose a phrase and size the parents will welcome. Keep the £25 budget tied to the delivered total, then choose the garment that actually fits.
